It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the family and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development announce the passing on of Mr.Tom Mboya Onyina, who until his death was the Provincial Director for Gender and Social Development, Nyanza Province. He passed away on 23rd August, 2010 at Victoria Hospital after a short illness. Loving husband of Caroline Akinyi Mboya (District Adult Educaton Officer, Kisumu East). Loving father of Joe Gossage and Joy Nabi. Son of the late Onyina Yienya and the late Grace Onyina. Son-in-law of Mzee James Omenda and Rose Omenda. Nephew of the late Angir  Yienya, Joram Yienya, the late D.O Yienya, the late Owino Yienya and Margret Sanda among others. Brother of Lillian Achieng, Salome Onyina, Ruth Otieno, Boss Onyina, Aringo Angir, Esther Ojode, Phillip Yienya, David Odarido and Ben Masawa.

Brother-in-law of Paul Omenda, Dr. Omenda, Tom Omenda, Eng. Omenda Fredrick Sanda, Fredrick Nyamunga and Argwings Ojode.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for funeral arrangements in his residence in Kisumu, Kenya Re-Estate House No.3 from 5p.m.The body is lying at the Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary.

Fundraiser: There will be a fundraising to offset the hospital bill and medical expenses tomorrow, Wednesday Ist September 2010 in Kisumu at Public Service Club from 5.00pm, and in Nairobi at Garden Square from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary for his Kenya Re House for viewing on 3rd September, 2010 at 10.00am.

 Burial will take place on Sunday 5th September,2010 at Kamser Osika Village, Kamser “A” sub-location Kamser Nyakango Location, East Karachuonyo Division, Rachuonyo North District.
